Snow showers to taper off Monday, but overnight cold will mean icy Tuesday

Today we’ll see snow showers early with showers tapering off by the afternoon. Temperatures will stay in the low to mid 30s, so expect slippery road conditions through the late morning. A Winter Storm Warning expires for higher elevations and a Winter Weather Advisory remains in place for others.

By the afternoon showers will calm and we’ll see some breaks in the clouds. High temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 30s. Winds will be gusty Monday afternoon topping around 25 miles per hour.

Overnight low temperatures will dip into the teens and 20s early Tuesday morning – this means icy conditions are likely on surfaces. Showers are not expected throughout the day, but highs will have a tough time getting out of the 40s.

Wednesday will see the arrival of the next system which means gusty winds again and more showers moving back into the forecast area. Highs will be mild in the low to mid 40s, so more rain than snow is on tap for the lower elevations. Snow is going to impact mountain passes and the ski areas.

All told, Mt. Bachelor looks to receive anywhere from 1-3’ of snow for the early part of this week.
