A film festival at the Tower Theater in Bend is dedicated to highlighting backcountry winter adventures.

Pine Mountain Sports is putting on the 22nd annual Powderhound Preview and Fundraiser. The event invites filmmakers of all capabilities to submit their own adventures.

“Anybody can submit a film,” said Pine Mountain Sports owner Dan McGarigle. “It’s one of the great things about this event is that it’s all done by local filmmakers and photographers, and we really rely on their content 100% every year to make sure that we have a show.”

Those who are interested can submit their films by Monday, Oct. 31. Powderhound asks the films be between 30 seconds and six minutes. Contact marketing@pinemountainsports.com at Pine Mountain Sports with any questions.

The submitted films will be shown at the event at the Tower Theater on Nov. 15. Tickets are $12 and will be available starting Nov. 1 at Pine Mountain Sports.

The event will include a raffle, with 100% of proceeds going to the Central Oregon Avalanche Center and Deschutes County Search and Rescue.
