UPDATE: The Crook County Sheriff’s Office reported safe by the Crook County Sheriff’s Office just before 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The Crook County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help to locate a missing Prineville woman.
Darlene Schutte, 66, was reported missing by her son Monday afternoon after she left their home on NW McBeth Court sometime between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. Darlene has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and may be attempting to get to her daughter’s house in Colorado, the sheriff’s office said.
Callers reported seeing Darlene walking northwest along Madras Highway toward Madras, the sheriff’s office said. One tip they received was that a driver picked up Darlene and dropped her off in Madras. She was last seen near the Burger King on the south end of Madras.
Darlene is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 133 pounds with short gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a red, white and blue windbreaker and had a red rolling suitcase.
Anyone who knows about Darlene’s whereabouts is asked to call law enforcement. Crook County Sheriff’s Office says any information is helpful, no matter how small it may seem.
