Possible gas leak near Safeway on 3rd St. in Bend

Firefighters are responding to a possible gas leak near the Safeway at the corner of NE 3rd Street and Franklin Ave. in Bend.

Officials on the scene tell Central Oregon Daily News that they cannot confirm it is a gas leak, but are taking a cautious approach just to be safe.

It appears the entrances are closed and customers are standing outside.
