Oregon State Police are asking for the public’s help find whoever shot a female wolf who was found dead in Baker County earlier this month.
OSP said it learned that a collared wolf, identified as OR88, may have been killed nine miles northeast of Durkee near Little Lookout Mountain.
Fish and Wildlife Troopers and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel found the dead wolf on Bureau of Land Management property, OSP said. The wolf had been shot with a firearm.
The black female wolf was part of the Lookout Mountain Pack. They believe she was shot on October 2.
