Oregon Partners in Conservation Expo at Deschutes Co. Fairgrounds this weekend

Conservation Expo

An event at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds Saturday aims to teach the community about the different conservation groups in Oregon.

The Oregon Partners in Conservation Expo brings together 44 exhibitors and 61 booths. Groups taking part include the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, mushroom hunting groups, hunters and more.

Organizers say this event is as much for the groups as it is for the public.

“There are so many conservation groups in Oregon. Everybody is trying to get to the same goal, kind of taking different paths and to start them networking where they can network amongst each other and start building those relationships. So maybe everybody can get to that common goal a lot easier, as well as educate the public on everything that’s available in Oregon,” said J.R. Warmer, Chairman of Oregon Partners in Conservation.

The event is free and runs from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
