
The Deschutes National Forest is warning drivers that there is already significant snow along the Cascade Lakes Highway, leaving many recreation sites and roads buried.
DNF says if you encounter 3 inches or more of snow, it’s a good idea to turn around as conditions aren’t likely to improve.
Deschutes County says it will close the Cascade Lakes Highway and Paulina Lake Road on Nov. 21 at 8:00 a.m.
The east side of Highway 242 — the McKenzie Pass Highway — is set to close Thursday at the latest.
