Cascade Lakes Highway Snow

The Deschutes National Forest is warning drivers that there is already significant snow along the Cascade Lakes Highway, leaving many recreation sites and roads buried.

DNF says if you encounter 3 inches or more of snow, it’s a good idea to turn around as conditions aren’t likely to improve.

Deschutes County says it will close the Cascade Lakes Highway and Paulina Lake Road on Nov. 21 at 8:00 a.m.

The east side of Highway 242 — the McKenzie Pass Highway — is set to close Thursday at the latest.
