Four Redmond schools were placed in Secure after a police received a call about a possible threat Monday.
An alert sent out by the Redmond School District said Redmond High School went into Secure at about 9:00 a.m. Secure means all exterior doors are locked and students are not allowed to leave the building, but classes continue as normal.
The Secure measure was put in place after someone described as a concerned parent called about a possible threat.
Terrebonne Elementary, Tom McCall Elementary, and Elton Gregory Middle School also went into Secure as a precaution, the school district said.
Redmond Police located and detained a suspect, the school district said.
Secure was lifted after police determined there was no longer a threat, according to the district.
No other details were released about the nature of the threat, who the suspect was or how long the Secure was in place.
