A new fire was reported in the Ochoco National Forest Tuesday afternoon had grown to 25 acres Wednesday morning.

The Bear Creek Fire was burning near the McKay Creek Saddle off of Forest Road 2735 north of Prineville, according to Central Oregon Fire. The fire was not growing as of Wednesday morning.

It was initially reported Tuesday night as 10-15 acres.

Two helicopters and two small tankers are responding as well as ground resources.
