Deschutes County Commissioners pass 384 million dollar budget

The Deschutes County Commissioners approved the county’s nearly 384-million-dollar budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year yesterday. Property owners will see a 3 percent decrease in their tax rate, same as last year. The approved budget will provide about 26 million dollars more for services this year than last. Among those, nearly 2 million dollars for a proposed crisis center, and monies to pay for a deputy to help with marijuana-related issues in the county.
