Fire wood cutting begins tomorrow on all federal lands in C.O. except BLM

Beginning tomorrow personal use firewood cutting will be allowed on the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and the Crooked River National Grassland. Permits sell for 10 dollars per cord of wood with a 2-cord minimum. The permits including rules and regulations are available at all forest service offices and many businesses in Central Oregon.


R.L. has won numerous local, state, and national awards for his news coverage and community involvement. He is in the Oregon Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame as a 2004 Heritage Broadcaster of the Year. Over his 38-year career he has been a mainstay in the Central Oregon media.
