Free Comic Book Day is back Saturday and you can head to a couple of Central Oregon stores to celebrate.
Geek Geek Nerd Nerd in Redmond will celebrate by giving away free comics between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
They will also host a cosplaying contest and raffles.
“It’s to help increase awareness of comic books and and their literary importance so that we get more people aware of comic books and what’s in comic books. It’s a unique form of storytelling,” said owner Chris Columbus.

Geek Geek Nerd Nerd is located at 106 SE Evergreen Ave Suite J in Redmond.
You can also drop by Pegasus Books in downtown Bend to get your hands on those comic books you’ve been eying. Folks can get four free comics while supplies last.
Doors open there at 11:00 a.m. The store is located at 105 NW Minnesota Ave.
