The nonprofit Shepherd’s House Ministries is asking Central Oregonians for assistance to help keep those living on the streets hydrated this summer.
It’s asking community members to donate bottled water, either in cases or palettes, because it is facing a shortage.
This is also part of a summer campaign by Shepherd’s House to bring awareness to basic human needs.
“Part of what we’re doing today is giving people a chance to do something really simple,” said Dave Notari, Director of Development at Shepherd’s House. “A bottle of water, some snacks. Those are really helpful things for people experiencing this really challenging times in their lives.”
Donations can be dropped off at Shepherd’s House’s location at 1854 NE Division Street in Bend, Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. That just north of the intersection after you get off northbound Highway 97 at Revere Avenue.
