The Redmond, Jefferson County, Crook County and Culver school districts and Central Oregon Community College announced there will be no classes or activities on Monday following the winter storm that dumped several inches of snow on Central Oregon.
Cook County had said Sunday night school would be delayed two hours, but changed course Monday morning.
“Too many sideroads haven’t been plowed, making it difficult for buses to reach students on time,” Crook County School District’s Communications Director Jason Carr said in an email. “Safety is a top priority, so canceling school today will give our local road crews time to clear the streets.”
All after-school events, clubs, and sports activities are cancelled for the district as well.
Bend-La Pine School District posted Monday morning it plans to be open as usual Monday.

COCC also said all classes and events are canceled and all campuses will be closed. All services and departments will be unavailable for the day.
As of our latest update, we had not seen a report from Sisters.
Here is where you can check the status of other Central Oregon school districts Sunday night and Monday morning to see how they are faring. If you are a parent in one of these districts, you’ll also want to see if your district has an email or text alert system to inform you of cancellations or delays.
