Central Oregon medical professionals will soon have the chance to learn more about concussions.

The Center Foundation is hosting the conference, which focuses on the best practices in brain injury and concussion management. Medical professionals can use this conference to get continuing education credits.

The Center puts on the event every few years.

“The knowledge is increasing. Every year, we’re learning more, our protocols are getting better. And so that’s kind of the focus of our conferences. Every three years we do a new concussion conference to update people on kind of the latest advances in concussion management,” said Stuart Schmidt, Program Manager and Head Athletic Trainer at the Center Foundation.

The conference is April 15-16 at the Oregon State University-Cascades campus.
