Unemployment in Central Oregon remains steady

Unemployment rates in Central Oregon remained steady in April. According to the Oregon Employment Department, Deschutes County’s unemployment rate was at 4-point 2 percent, Crook County at 6-point 1 percent and Jefferson County at 5-point 5 percent unemployment. Job growth slowed some in the region although construction remains strong.
