New COIDC to be built in Redmond

The Redmond City Council voted last night to approve the building of the new Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center at the Redmond Airport. The 3.2 million dollar facility will give those guiding resources to their destination to fight wildfires the space they need with the 7 thousand square foot building. The hope is to have it up and running by next fire season. COIDC is currently located at the Prineville Airport.
